I opted For Increased Def over another Focus mod (for more cool down) because I have a reactor with yellow Cooldown reduction. This Puts my cool down at 4.9 seconds. With this I can Pop her 2, Take advantage of "Strength of First shot" Pop 2 again Shoot with out Strength of first shot... Then by my 3rd time using her 2 strength of First Shot will proc again.
You Could of course go with another Focus mod over Increased Def, doing so would shave another 1.3 seconds off of your cool down. To me Its not worth because of the 10s cool down from Strength of the First Shot)
Also Keep in mind your not really utilizing any thing other then her 2. There for you do not need to level up your focus mod (its only there for the additional cooldown). Also it does not matter what element your reactor is in as long as it has Yellow Cool Down.
